February 4, 2010 - A Life with Karol

book that helps to understand some aspects of the life of John Paul II, viewed from a vantage point. I found this photo that was then used for the cover of the book. The book is beautiful. Particularly interesting is the possibility of offering himself to see how they have developed the choices of John Paul II on a personal level, experience of faith, and then as these have led to an inevitable fallout in the decisions of the pope.
I really enjoyed watching "from within" as John Paul II lived the events of the fall of communism and how took part. The commitment. The reading of the Gospel story.
add few words about this picture and the cover of the book.
I had the good fortune to be young when John Paul II has made many of his actions, given many of his speeches. I was there. You could say that on several occasions I was present when the photos were taken with this man. I have seen him accomplish his mission. Certainly in those years I felt a deep sympathy and admiration. I enjoyed the presence of this Pope, who I guessed to be a great figure. I enjoyed his presence. Unknowingly lived the joy of his presence, sometimes a bit like the grandchildren living presence of their beloved grandparents. Certainly not understand the scope of his evangelizing action.
Only now, after quanche year after his death, slowly I'm wondering about who this person really was, what thoughts have animated it, what choices he made. This book in hand, I was given the opportunity to know the aspects still unknown to me.
The picture then becomes the book's cover.

And me and many comes the desire to stop for a moment and understand and learn the lessons that a teacher can offer us as Karol.
For example, ask how he addressed the problems that life has placed. How it relates to the different stakeholders that the historical facts presented before him. How has woven relations with its supporters and its detractors. It 's interesting to decipher and learn the style of this man ....

" At times it seemed that he had remained only Pope to defend moral principles. But he knew that something was the opinion of the media, the opinion of another people, but not necessarily Catholic. E this was the genius of Karol Wojtyla, in not being influenced by the press. Nor leave room for pessimism. He always said: "The Church is Christ." That is, after the storm, the calm would come. After the winter would come the spring " . Page 176
